Good girl romance. Pretty good. Took a sec to get to the steam but the storyline was really good.

Next book looks to be delayed indefinitely. So sad bc this world BH built was great. I hate when this happens.

I very much enjoyed the world building in this book and the steamy scenes between Jakob and Sachelle. I will admit this is my first book by this author, so I'm coming to this in the middle of the series. I'm definitely going back to read the first two. This was a stand alone, but at the same time it took me a bit to understand the setting, however you don't need to read prior books to understand these characters and their story.

Jakob is the head of security and the first few times we see him I wasn't sure how I felt about him, but as the story got going, he became a very protective, take charge hero, and was just what I was looking for in a read right now. I liked that Sachelle had some backbone and at times stood up to him, but I also liked that she wasn't annoying and fighting with him just to fight. This is definitely a steamy read with a bit of kink.

Looking forward to reading more in this series!

(ARC provided in exchange for review)
It's been a long time since the last book from Court of Paravel and I was really excited when this was finally announced.
This was Jakob's story who was sort of the villain from book two and I was really curious to see what he was all about and was really curious to see how he'd be with Sachelle who was another character seen in passing from the second book.
Whereas the previous books were more focused on the royal family this had a shift towards what life is like outside of the kingdom walls and it was really interesting to see more of that.
As far as the couple goes, I loved the back and forth that went on between them and the steamy moments that Brianna delivers perfectly. I'm really sad that there's only one book left but I'm curious to see how everything mentioned before will come to fruition when Daddy Issues drops!

Ugh I don’t know how many times I need to say it but authors need to stop labeling sneak peeks into the next book as the “epilogue”. That’s not an epilogue and it’s such a let down and so annoying. This book would’ve been a 3-4 star if there had been a real epilogue. The h and H weren’t even IN the epilogue.

We back in this world!!! Its been a while since l read anything from this series and I really enjoyed this one wayy more then the last book. We have drama suspence and some steamy moments.

Jakob... LORD THIS MAN!!! even when he was cold and grump towards Sachelle (for good reason) he made me melt with the way he held himself dirty talking growly alpha. He knew right away Sachelle was his but he knew she was mixing herself up with a bad crowd to save her cousin. And he didnt enjoy it so he takes matter into his own hands ;). Lady Sachelle i really liked her she wasnt whiney she held her own she had a plan even if she didn't have all the info she tried her best to get it. But she has a love/hate relationship with Jakob who follows/stalks her, she starts questioning her choices in who to trust. And let me tell you when Jakob "blackmails" her he is doing it for her own good.

So much twist and turns who to trust and the drama was so good!! But the steam!!!
