Wonderful book. Well written, great plot, I loved the characters and laughed and cried and smiled warmly up until the last page.

It was cute, but a little sad throughout.

If I could give it 3.5 I would! Loved the narrator being the dog! It was a sweet story

OK, I have to admit that I added this to my list on a whim from a friend, and I was under the impression it was a running book. I'm a runner. BUT, I'm also an AVID pet lover, and avoid sad dog books like the plague. (I have never read Marley and Me, and don't plan to!) However, this book definitely hooked me in a cute way despite sad dog and people stuff throughout.

The book is told from the perspective of the dog...How the dog perceived events...how the dog tried to communicate to the owner (some funny stuff there). This is a deep book, full of metaphors and philosophical messages about living life, but it has some great comic relief through Enzo, the star dog character.

And the "racing" part? Was about car racing. All of you probably already know this though, and I was just being naive. :-)

Honestly, not what I expected, but still affecting. Enzo is a wonderfully drawn character and narrator. I believe the book would have been better without the last chapter, but I understand that many readers will disagree.

Told from the perspective of Enzo, a dog. It's about family, bonding, love, dreams, devastation, loss, hope, loyalty and much more. And of course, the art of racing in the rain in cars and on foot. Lots of metaphors and questions about what it is to be a decent human being and what it means to be a dog.

A far more emotional narrative than I'd expected. Simply loved it!

Heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time! Everyone must learn how to race in the rain with Enzo!
