This book started off seemingly a somewhat wacky, dryly humorous story. It became more profound as it went on--tackling issues of factory farming, environmental disasters, motherhood, relationships, ethics in entertainment... Really enjoyed this one. Had no idea it was so old!

I own a copy of this book and have picked it up to start it multiple times over the last decade but never made it more than a few pages. Little did I know, approximately one page after I stopped each time contained the first hard GRAB of the book.

This book is interesting and good, but makes a quick turn from amusing into dark territory. Difficult to listen to at times. Trigger Warnings for sexual assault, domestic violence, child sexualization, and Animal Cruelty.
