An excellent and exciting thriller from beginning to end. A considerably better plot than it's predecessor. It draws you in and stirs you. You never really know what to believe. The writing flowed and there were bumps, unlike the first story. A definite read if you can finish the first book of the trilogy

Lisbeth Slander is a badass and I'm here for it.

I got this series as part of a humble bundle, which is raising money for the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation, who amongst other things, are fighting for LGBTQ and reproductive rights, including fighting to stop the new abortion ban in Texas.

This book was amazing. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire way through. There are so many twists and turns that just keep you glued to the page. Perfectly executed by Larsson. Very well-written and great vivid imagery. Very much looking forward to read the last one in the series.

Still well constructed, though the pacing of the plot was rather uneven.

The first book from Larsson was great, but this one was even better. Will be a permanent fixture in my list of recommendations and must read suggestions.

Love the slowed pace, the coffee's and lunches and everything about it. Especially the bureaucracy. Good job there Larsson.

This action-packed sequel finds Lisbeth Salander, the girl with the dragon tattoo herself, in the midst of a nationwide manhunt for a triple homicide. The book twists and turns its way through the cryptic history of Salander and uncovers startling revelations, all while revealing the real circumstances behind the murder of her guardian and a couple who had been doing investigative writing on the sex trade in Sweden.

Besides my Americanized-brain issues with pronouncing the Swedish names of people and places, I was also not as entranced with this book as everyone else seems to be because there just seemed to be too many revelations slapped out there out of nowhere. For me, there were too many people that popped out of the woodwork with too many connections, too much information confessed at the last minute instead of figured out more throughout the novel. I also find the characters to too easily fall into the roles of good guy/bad guy. Zalachenko is as evil as they come, and while there are people out there like him, I'm sure, he seems much too one dimensional for such a central person in Salander's story (and again, for how central he turns out to be, he was never even hinted at in the first novel, and only really came to the forefront in the latter half of this novel.)

I'm sure I'll still read the third and final novel in this trilogy, because I feel I should after having read the first two, and despite the fact that these books are not my usual type of read, I did find myself enjoying sections of each.

A well done sequel to "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and a great prequel to the end of the series "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest" (which is to read next!) Though left in shadow most of the book, the wild ride, tales of the sex trade and murder, alongside Salander and Mikael make it a great suspense story and you can't help but wonder more and more about Salander and her story.

Great second outing of Larsson's trilogy. I'm eagerly waiting to start the third book.
