Thank you to Katee Robert for the advance reader copy of Broderick, the second installment in the Sabine Valley series. Broderick releases on April 13th!

The Sabine Valley series is shaping out to chucked full of triads, sword crossings guaranteed, sexy, yet emotional stories. I really enjoyed the first installment, Abel. So I was super pumped to read about Abel’s brother Broderick as his story is M/F/F. I just cannot help myself, I keep engulfing these stories.

Absolutely loved this book more than the first book! The spice was 5x better in this book than the first book!

I need the rest of the books in this series, I know it’s going to be a long painful wait

This story revolves around three strong-willed characters as they get to know each other beyond their first impressions and existing relationships.

I like the changes that Monroe's very presence kick-starts, though I wish we were shown more on how Broderick learns to accept/explore the side of him that's beyond the persona of the calm caretaker that he had taken up for his brothers. There's a glimpse of it, but the story seems to focus more on Shiloh and Monroe, which is cool, too.

This book got quite a few laughs out of me! Love the progressiveness of it. I think it's better than Abel's story, but I'm not satisfied with the ending.
SpoilerIt went too smoothly all around. Monroe's mother agrees to step down, just like that? And they accept it? No suspicions at all? Then Abel agrees to let Broderick go without a fight? He didn't even know what the hell was going on with Broderick for the past few days, if his questions were anything to go by. It all went down too smoothly. There was barely a climax.

I'm still confused about the state of the world that this story is set in. It's urban, and there isn't any magic, but there is this city or community, the valley, where murder and leader takeovers are a thing? There's no larger government than the community's own leaders and the rules that they set? Is this a post-apocalyptic world or what? That's how I've been reading it at least.

I received and ARC in exchange for a honest review.

This is book number 2 in the Sabine valley series. This book focuses on the second oldest brother, and his budding relationship with his best friend and their relationship with his Bride and heir to the Amazon’s.

This book, like every other Katee Robert book that I’ve read is incredible well written. The characters are well rounded and nuanced, the plot is interesting and engaging and it’s very, very hot.

Broderick, the second of the Paine brothers, must take for his bride the heir to the Amazons, Monroe, but the woman he would rather be with is his best friend Shiloh. And Monroe knows it, and isn't afraid to take advantage of it.

This book blew my socks off, plain and simple. The relationship between the three works incredibly well, but so do the individual relationships. The slow-burn really pays off, ratcheting up the tension until you want to yell at Broderick and Shiloh not to be so pig-headed - but lucky reader, we've got Monroe to do that. And Monroe is a real gem of a character, vicious with a heart of gold.

Basically, I yearn for the next book, which does not alas have a release date announced. If there's five more books to go I'm going to die of waiting!

Broderick/Shiloh/Monroe, Book 2 of Sabine Valley. Loved the banter between the 3 of them, some spicy spice. I have loved all of the books I have read by Katee. I was able to get into the story easily and it kept my attention until the end. Would love to see the rest of the series when Katee can get them to us.
