I felt like the main character was insufferable. It also came off as if the author dislikes women by making the only two women in the whole book stereotypical ā€œbimbosā€ and the main character thinking sheā€™s so much better than them.

Not sure how this book went from strangers to besties/wingmen to fake dating to lovers but it was way too much, too many tropes, and somehow misogyny was a running gag of this book.Ā

I really enjoyed one of Lynn Painter's YAs but this book was bad enough to put her on my no-longer-reading list of authors. I didn't like either of the characters, didn't feel like I knew them, it felt there was slight homophobia throughout with the way other men were described and somehow it was both genderrolly and not-like-most-girls....Ā
