I finished this book but had to take some time to gather myself. Talk about the emotional ringer. Holy smokes. This book will give you the best book hangover, The angst on a scale of 1-10 is a 15. This is way more than what you think when you read the blurb, it is so much so. While the blurb is intriguing, it sells the book short, IMO. This book deals with such heavy topics such as mental illness, and suicide, as well as true and everlasting love. Yes its a tear jerker, but there is HEA so keep that in mind.
Carian Cole can write a book that stomps all over your heart, puts in back in and you thank her for it. This book was just what I was looking for. The pacing is wonderful, it takes place over a decade, and you really get to see the development of the characters and how they are, why they are like that, and so much more. This book will change you, and change how you look at certain subjects. This wasn't just a romance book, it was a learning experience.

Trigger warnings: addiction, mental health, suicide

Me encantó.

I did not care for either character and could not connect with the story. It felt like a chore turning this on for my daily walk.

I’m sitting here more than 48 hours after finishing this book and I’m still trying to come up with the words and thinking about how raw, honest and powerful this story was and how love isn’t perfect, it’s not meant to be and that’s the beauty behind it.

I will never forget how this book made me feel, I went through a roller coaster of emotions to the point of sobbing and staring at my wall to what I had just read.

So many topics and situations that people face every single day were written in these pages, A truly wonderful story of a love that transcends time, through thick and thin. Raw heartbreaking moments of clarity and deals with a subject that is often not discussed enough, not spoken about when it should be.

From the very start It's very intense and emotional! It starts when Piper and Blue first set eyes on each other and there was this instant attraction. A homeless guy playing his guitar in the park for money with his dog by his side. Piper couldn’t help but notice him, his beautiful face, tattooed body and that sexy smirk he threw her way. Over a span of 15 years Piper and Blues lives are forever changed from the very first glance, they didn’t realize what the future would hold and this is their story. This is all about them and their feelings but they have to deal with many trials along the way. Their love, loss, drug abuse and mental health and along with some other things, I don't want to say as I don't want to give any spoilers!

Carian wrote such beautiful words and beautiful characters and they pull you so far into their emotions. It was so sad and beautiful at the same time and it had really touched my heart. Carian wrote about mental health in such a honest and heartfelt way. I think this is a subject that should be spoken about, it was honest and raw.

Yeah, no. DNF. This turned me off of MCs with drug addiction. I'll probably never read one again. This was so bad.
