It’s the gold rush and the chemist Hermann Kermit Warm has a formula worth dying to keep. The Commadore has release the infamous Sisters Brothers to track down Warm. Once they find him and learn about the miracle formula will their plans change? This was a good entertaining book and was a good palate cleanser after reading some deep fantasy. This book is full of pistol whipping, gun fights, and well lots of drinking. We follow Eli Sister who is thinking he might want to settle down. He possesses a fierce anger but doesn’t have the blood lust that his brother does. The Sisters Brothers get involved in one side quest after another on their way to San Francisco. There is humor sprinkled throughout this book, but this isn’t a comedy. The prose was simple and accessible. It felt true to the time. The story pulled me along and I kept wanting to know what would happen next.

This book was about as fun of an adventure as you could ask for. It is dark, exciting, endearing, and surprisingly thought provoking for a gunslinging western. I’d highly reccomend this for anyone looking for quality action and well written characters.
