jo Nesbo is a true storyteller with history mixed in for background. There is plenty of mystery and intensity to keep you reading and wanting more. Inspector Harry Hole has plenty to keep him busy. Reading Nemesis next.

FIRST LINE REVIEW: "A grey bird glided in and out of Harry's field of vision." Lots of birds flittering about in this thriller that continues the excellent adventures of Detective/Inspector Hole. Inventive, but often difficult to follow...until it all comes together (or most of it) in the end.

More like 2 and a half stars. Although switching fabula between two periods (WW2 and present Oslo) is really hard and admireable, the connection between them is really stereotypical crime-mind-bending-psychological-disorder-triple-character which didn't please me as a reader because it is most obvious and uninteresting way to connect puzzle pieces of this story in compact work. However, it was good read, Jo Nesbo's writing is often thrilling and I felt certain adrenaline rushes, but only two times, even I could say once because last one (which is, oh wonder, at the final of the book) ends so cheesy and hero-saving-the-day like.
