At only 68 pages this is a very quick read. However I felt that the author could have done so much more justice to the characters and the storyline if it was made into a full length novel.

The book is the second instalment in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. I would suggest that you would get more from this book if you read the first book in the series as you get to know the background of main character Leann in book 1 which is the story of her big sister Betsy. One thing I did really like about this book was getting to see Betsy and Wyatt again and seeing how they are doing in the future.

In this book we get the story of Leann Bobbin and her new boyfriend Len. I like both Leann and Len as characters and felt that the author could have done so much more with them in a longer story.

As with character progression, I feel that there could have been so much more added to the storyline. Each part of the story felt very short and then jumped to the next section, when the author could have expanded on each part of the story.

I did like the characters and I liked the overall storyline, I just felt that it could have been so much more.

This book was so sweet! The characters were so relatable, and I loved watching the relationships build. Leann’s growth was amazing to watch! Seeing the very real responses to the conflict was just amazing to read. Honestly though, the story just gave me warm fuzzies seeing the relationships and growth happening!

I read the first book in this series before picking this one up which made the book easier to read and understand the characters. I recommend reading the first book before this one because it allows you to understand the characters better and follow the storyline. This book is a relatively short read, having finished it in an hour myself. Although short the character development is stellar even though I would have liked to see a little more drama to the storyline.

This book is Leann’s story that picks up where the first book left off. She ends up starting a new job at the bank and dating Len who happens to be a police officer. He is the sort of man every girl hopes to catch which makes you fall in love with him super quickly in this book. He calls or checks in with Leann to make sure she is doing alright. The one time she doesn’t contact when she should he finds out she’s in the middle of a bank robbery and is using every skill taught to her to survive. Can Leann survive another run in with a bad guy? Can Len save Leann in time? You’ll have to read to answer those questions and more.

This is the second book in this series which is just as great as the first if not better. This is a shorter romance suspense story. A short story that packs a lot of action, suspense and romance in a short amount of time. This is a story about Leann who gets a new job at a bank. What will happen when the bank is robbed? Can her boyfriend be their saving grace? This is a great story that I really enjoyed. The characters pull you in from the beginning. They are relatable and keep the story engaging. The author’s use of details made the story feel realistic as if you were right there with the characters. This is an entertaining story that I read in one sitting. I highly recommend this book.

Wow! What words can express even more how good this book was. The book takes off very quickly, I loved how it starts, and the moments of terror and suspense were so freaking good. I felt I was right there with the characters in the book, holding my breath in fears of it being my last!

Leann is truly a remarkable character, but watching her in the heist at the bank holding down those moments for her own survival was more than well done. Literally every moment and detail she talked about was critical. I swear if it was me, I would not have handed things as well. The emotional impacts was real and true! It was so freaking good, a short read, but it gives a lot, and I mean a lot! The details were vivid with great descriptions! I also enjoyed her founding relationship with Len, was a nice addition and played perfectly into the story. Was a great read! I for sure will read more by this author no doubt!

I loved the seed of the book and the emotions that went along with it! It was very easy to get hooked and want to know more. I felt I literally started it and then I had finished it, was a very brisk and entertaining read, I do recommend this book, if you want suspense and moments on your edge, this book is for you!

To be honest, I wasn’t over the moon for this short novel. Perhaps if I had of read the first installment, Check Out, I would have had more information on the sisters, and wouldn’t have felt thrown into the middle of a story. It really was very cute, and I felt all the emotions I would want to feel in a romantic, dramatic plot line. The way that Len insisted on looking out for Leann and protecting her as much as he was able to be successful in proving to the reader, he was exactly the type of man she needed in her life, and vice versa. It was certainly a whirlwind romance that could have developed in a more natural way if the story was just a little longer, but it was a nice little pick me up for a one sitting read! I will be going back to read Ms. Parmley’s ‘Check Out,’ as I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style. I am glad I picked this up, thank you, Debra!

Check In is the second book in The Bobbins Sisters series by Debra Parmley. This is a romantic suspense story with drama, mystery, and intrigue.
I hate to say this, as I know how much time, energy, heart, and soul authors put into their work- but I really found it difficult to connect with the story and the characters. There was something missing for me. I felt it needed to be a little more dramatic, with more tension, intensity, and chemistry for this story/series to really grab my attention. I found my interest and attention wandering and had to really force myself to stay focused. I prefer the story to grab me and pull me in so deep that I lose all sense of time and place. This story wasn’t that for me.
But please don’t let my opinion put you off reading the book/series because plenty of readers would probably really enjoy this book. It’s just that I like my romantic suspense/mysteries to be a little meatier.
I will come back and re-read this book again in a few weeks just to see if I still feel the same way, or if I was having a bad reading day when I picked this up.

Thank you, Debra Parmley!

Check In (Bobbins Sisters Series Book 2) by Debra Parmley

This was a super quick read. I did not read the first in this series and did not need to to follow this story. I feel this story needed to be a bit longer. I was never able to get invested in everything that was going on, and I never connected with Leann at all. She seemed to act younger than her age. I really liked Len though and maybe had there been more to this story I would've loved it! I really didn't like the ending, it felt abrupt to me. I turned the page hoping for an epilogue and was disappointed there was none.

Everything just happened too fast. The bank scene was the highlight of the book, and I loved how that was written, even if it was still a bit quick.

This is my first book by this author and there were things I really liked and will definitely read more in the future.

Check In (Bobbins Sisters Series Book 2) by Debra Parmley is a romantic suspense story. A stalker on the prowl, a bank robbery, some mystery, a little intrigue and some suspense and romance that round off the story. I would have liked the story to be longer though. I think the author's writing style is better off aimed for a younger audience, NA, or YA perhaps. The romance is sweet, and the characters were likeable but the chemistry between them was lacking. It just wasn't a page turner for me. That being said, it is just my thoughts; you however may love it.

Check In was a good read. If you're looking for an easy, quick read with a happy ending this one is for you. I felt a little rushed and there wasn't a clear distinguished time period throughout the book and some scenes felt a little choppy and rushed but overall this was a really good book. The characters were likeable enough and the storyline was decent so this was a great book to me to read if you want to waste time but don't want to get sucked into a longer, more drawn out novel. This is the first book I've read from Parmley again and I would read more in the future.
