Serpents is a well written story with characters you either love or hate and moments of darkness that make you gasp.
Logan Fox creates plots that draw the reader in and storylines that are captivating and relentless in their delivery.
This dark, reverse Harem story is full of complex characters, dark and deprived urges, as well as bullying to the extreme. Heed the warnings ⚠️
I loved this story!

Girl is targeted by three guys after she witnesses them commit murder. Dark academia romance that has Royals of Forsyth vibes, but I had to work harder to suspend disbelief over several plot points and scenes. I like that the three heroes (let's be real, they're total anti-heroes in this book) are not from the powerful Founding Families of the town of Cinderhart, and instead have used different methods to earn the respect, admiration and fear of the townspeople. I like the mystery of who sponsored Nim's admittance to the college. So far she's a rather weak heroine, but also dealing with some trauma so I'm letting it slide.

Dark, twisted, intriguing, mysterious this book has it all. It kept me on the edge the entire time and I didn’t know what to expect from one second to the next. It has triggers for those that need to be warned so beware, but I am dying to see what will happen next. Nim is in for a ride when she witnesses something she shouldn’t but tragedy and struggling to survive brings her an opportunity only she has to go back to the place she doesn’t really want to be. The serpents are the top of the academy with reputations that proceed them and when their unexpected guest arrives at school, they are determined to make her life hell. Nim faces bullying, horrible rumors, and things that are degrading yet she refuses to bend to their will, but now that they’ve had a taste, they refuse to let her go. Will Nim run the chance she gets? Will the boys finally make her bend to their every whim? Who brought her here and why? This book has so many mysteries I’m dying to know how they unravel and what is in store for these characters. Again, be warned there are serious triggers, but this author has perfected making these style of books amazing! Can’t wait for the next one.

The first chapter dragged you into this world and didn’t let you go until the final sentence. Even then, I’m still hooked on this story.

Is this the most original storyline? Probably not. But it’s entertaining, it’s well written and it has you wanting to know more. You can feel the tension between the female main character and the men, there is no redemption present in this book. Lots of non-con but it’s written really well, just mind your triggers when reading this book. Not the darkest but it is on the darker side.

We are just starting to get to know the characters in this book but the “cute” little town isn’t so cute. This is what has me hooked. There is a lot being hidden, pieces of the past that people want to keep in the dark. However, I don’t think these secrets will stay a secret for very long and I hope it’s an explosive reveal.

If you like a darker storyline with a lot of tension, mystery and steam, this is perfect for you.

Not for myself: Intrigued… but may not care enough to finish. Only because I peeked at the last book and it is a lot less love-y than I want. Idk. Might pick up again later.
