I still love the premise of these books and think it is fantastic that the author built an entire world out of weird creepy photos. But the ending fell flat and I was disappointed in the easy-way-out ending. The lead up to the ending was quite exciting and so that earns the book its three stars. I think in the end, it was hard to wrap up the series in a more satisfying way given the inspiration. It felt like the ending to a night at the improv.

This book is hands down my absolute favourite so far!!
I know the series originally ended here but I am honestly so glad to know, there is more to the story and the characters.
This book hit different somehow. The adventure, the new characters, the story slowly continuing to build up… AH! This was SO exciting!
I really liked this book and am excited and glad to see that there is even MORE to all of this.
UPDATE (NOV 7 2021): Whenever I think back to this book, I still have scenes and pictures on my mind. This was amazing and VERY epic!

I loved this book sooooo much. It was super exciting. I just wish that the movie would incorporate more of the content of this book in it (and get the characters right as well as having three separate movies for each book).

Wonderful ending to the series! It was a bit slow at first, but as soon as the action began I was hooked!
