The Scorch Trials is more of a four stars for me, when The Maze Runner was a 4.5 stars. I liked it a bit less, but it was still amazing. The reason I didn't like it as much was that the middle of the book was a bit slow and
SpoilerI missed the other characters when it was just Thomas and Brenda. Yes, I am aware he is the main character, but I tend to love the other characters a bit more, as it often happens for me in books.

I still have a slight issue with the lack of depth at some points in James Dashner's writing. I mean, it works amazingly well in certain parts of the story but I wish some moments would have a bit more depth to them.

Does it mean the story is not good ? Not at all. During pretty much the whole novel I was like "wait what ?????" and in a good way. The story became bigger and I never knew what to expect. Same as in The Maze Runner, I kept trying to figure the story out, but I couldn't. Sure, some things became clearer, which makes sense since it is the second book of the series. It doesn't mean the story wasn't still a mystery to me. And the ending. James Dashner likes his epilogues, doesn't he ? That last sentence left me staring at my kindle to be sure I read it right. And then my reaction was pretty much "Oh no he didn't". Overall, James Dashner continues with his very interesting story and the end was just plot twist after plot twist. Very well done.

As I'm writing this review, I have already started reading The Death Cure. After the ending of The Scorch Trials, how could I not ? In a way, I'm glad I started this series when all the books were out.

And now, I'll go back to reading The Death Cure. My tissues are ready.

James Dasher killed me with this book. My soul read the third one. And the fourth.

This is the most random book I have ever read. Seriously, everything is super strange, I mean, yeah, there is an explanation for everything BUT it's kinda shoking and WOAH WOAH and WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! But, it still is a cool book. I don't really understand somethings, but I guess I'll finally discover them in the next book.
In this one I met new characthers that I really like, such as Brenda, who is a bit pervert, but I like her. She's nice. Oh, also we get to know more about WCKD (although I didn't understand anything 'cause as I've already said IT'S JUST TO RANDOM).
The end of the book is too strange, like WHY WOULD HAPPEN THAT?! EVERYTHING WAS GONNA BE OKAY!! But, of course, if it was like that, there wouldn't be another book. Anyway, READ THIS BOOK OR I'LL SEND YOU TO THE MAZE. See ya~
