As [b:The Snows of Windroven|38456844|The Snows of Windroven (The Uncharted Realms, #2.5)|Jeffe Kennedy|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1520788601l/38456844._SY75_.jpg|60080983] tackles relationship problems with Ash & Amy and leaves them with a stronger and deeper connection, the same can be said about The Dragons of Summer, but now it's time for Harlan and Ursula.
Honestly, nothing much happens but knowing Jeffe Kennedy, she is still going to find a way to reference something from this novella, so if you want to follow the plot to the fullest, I recommend you do not skip it.

I read this novella when it first came out because I can never get enough of Harlan and Ursula (my absolute favorite couple from the Twelve Kingdoms saga) I read it again recently because I had finally caught up with the rest of the series in proper order, and I wanted to see where it fit. I love the way each of these stories focuses on the growth and personal journey of an individual while also being tied into an elaborate tapestry of stories that give a more complete picture of the whole world. While I really love this novella, even on a second reading, I think it is more of a fan favorite than a good intro to the world. Treat yourself and read Talon of the Hawk first for the full experience.
