okay this might seem like the wrong adjective but this book is so cozy to me i don’t know why but i really love the vibe here. it’s definitely got a scandal feel to it which is incredible i think jlb has a really interesting knack for taking shows like scandal and criminal minds and giving them a teenage twist. this book was a great follow up from the naturals it had all the intrigue and plot twists i’ve come to know and love and it had such fantastic relationship dynamics between tess and her grandpa and ivy and adam and brodie and all of tess’s friends. something about adam, i didn’t really trust him in the beginning but the way he looks out for tess, god i almost wish he was her dad, he’d be so good at it. overall i’m still so hooked on this book i love the political angle and the mystery and the twists were so good jlb has never let me down

It’s so unrealistic and unbelievable that it’s unintentionally hilarious. I’ve never read a political thriller that tried so hard to distance itself from actual politics before.
