this def would’ve been rated higher if the cheating trope didn’t happen. i’m glad she ended up w coop in the end but like…. she should’ve broke it off w stuart first😭

When I signed up for this website I knew I wanted to review my all-time favorite book.
I know the book is not as well-known as many YA books, but it is so important to me and so amazing and emotional.
This is definitely not a book that has the highest writing style or the most thought out world-building, but this book is always fresh in my mind and made a huge impact on me as a 16-18 y/o. I can remember where I was for every part I read and finished this in one breath! All I can say is... I am pretty sure the civilians in the bus I was in back then, were very confused why a young person was crying in the back while reading through a pink and orange book.
I also have to add that the illness that is written about is a real illness!
To be very honest, this book being my favorite might be because of my own experiences in life (a background of illness in a similar setting). However, I do still think people should read this.
One thing I do have to point out is that the writing style is written for a younger YA age group. I would say targeted between 16 and 18.

it was a decent book! i was very nervous to pick up this book because so often, books about chronically and/or terminally ill characters are infantilizing and inaccurate and just feel...gross. thankfully, i didn't feel that too much with this book.
stuart, however, felt like that to me, he just seemed like he stuck around out of pity, her romance with cooper felt a bit rushed and it was weird going from a journal to her future self to first-person.
otherwise, this book was good! the characters were likeable and i thought the entries during her episodes were very raw and real

I liked this book very much. While there are some plot holes it is still the heart-wrenching story it promises to be. It had me sobbing many times. It is a book I would gladly recommend to others.
Minor: Cursing, Death, Terminal illness, Dementia, and Grief
