Listened to this on audiobook. Great fantasy book with well-developed characters. Interesting plot. I would recommend reading this in print form for the first book, as it was occasionally difficult to follow who was who, and who was related to who. Sometimes characters have multiple names. Will definitely read/listen to the next!

I loved this book so much but I really wish that I read it prior to watching the show. I love to imagine what the characters would look like myself and knowing the characters from the show made it a little difficult.

A very good read. It was slow at some points but g rr martin really rocks. Can't wait for the second one to be read. And i wish i read it in winter ;-)

The best thing about g r r martin? His imaginative mind, the way he describes the medieval period, and how he tries to tell us that: the world is not a fairyland kids, grow up.

Loved it! I watched the hbo series first which remained very true to the book. Even though I knew the storyline I still couldn't put the book down.

3.5 stars.

This wasn't as good and catchy as I thought it would be, but it was very good.

Reread: I loved this the second time round! There is just so much happening and I loved the different. Voices of all the characters.

First time reading:
This book was slow to start, but amazing at the finish.
