*Thank you so much to the authors for my ALC!*

Take me to Oakley Island!! This story was perfect for all of your summer vibes (I think it technically takes place in the fall? We’ll just ignore that

Another lighthearted easy read in the middle of a trilogy (3 sisters, we saw that coming, right?) I thoroughly enjoyed this book and like the wringer style. The 2 authors are seamless in the 2 POVs. I look forward to #3….which I will be starting now.

so. this was on me. i'm not the biggest fan of second chance romance, so the love story between the characters wasn't captivating to me. i also found the book to share some significant similarities with jenny proctor's "how to kiss your best friend". grandmother dying and leaving behind her estate, main female lead leaving her life behind to settle down in the middle of nowhere, messy divorce between the female's parents. i know proctor co-wrote this book, but i would've liked to see some more originality.

also completely unrelated, but the nicknames mer & izzy made me think of grey's anatomy. that's all.

Sweet and I love the animals ... But "y'all" NEVER refers to a single person!!!

I really thought Eloise and The Grump would be my favorite of the series, but Merritt and her Childhood Crush really came swinging for the fences. The story was sweet and tragic in equal measure, and as someone who has been struggling with realizing I do in fact want to be a mom even though I convinced myself otherwise, Merritt's journey rediscovering herself was so inspiring.

It was cute and had some very quotable lines. The mmc was absolutely adorable but the conflict between the two seemed to last way too long and was annoying while at the same time the ending felt a little rushed and I wasn't as fond of the MC.

Merritt was not my favorite character in book 1, but I fell in love with her quickly in this book! Merritt and Hunter are so good together. I love that their conversations go deep. I love Hunter's relationship with Izzy, and Banjo is a fun addition to the story!

This book is every you would expect from Emma St. Clair and Jenny Proctor. A sweet romance with a touch of deeper real-life issues. If you have not read this book, you should!
