This is a fun collection of fairly light Harry Dresden stories. Listened to the audiobook version while running errands and it was pretty perfect for that task.

First Thought when Finished: Love Dresden but love Big Foot more so Working for Bigfoot by Jim Butcher was a right on the mark for me!

Quick Thoughts: You can totally read this collection of short stories even if you have never read The Dresden Files but I think you might have more fun if you get "Harry" beforehand. With that being said, I actually suggested a friend pick this up to see if she would like the tone of the series. If you are a Dresden fan--you will enjoy this. It has all the elements that you love: humor, action, and some eyebrow raising moments. Just listen to it already :)

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By James Marsters / Length: 3 hrs and 47 mins

If you aren't listening to these then you are missing out. James nails everything about the Dresden series: pacing, humor, sarcasm, wit. It really does add to the story to hear him tell it.

Three stories in one, over the span of many years. The first two stories thankfully can be read with little to no knowledge of the rest of the Dresden Files, the third story I think does spoil a bit, but not too much. Then again I may change my mind on that point when I actually get that far in the rest of the series.

These stories were so much fun, I was laughing so hard. I would really like to see more of Bigfoot and his son.

I CANNOT GET ENOUGH HARRY DRESDEN IN MY LIFE. I'm pining, y'all. Battle Ground comes out on the 29th, and it's NOT SOON ENOUGH.

This book features a collection of short stories in which Harry takes on a variety of jobs for Strength of a River in His Shoulders, who is a bigfoot. They're fun, funny, and full of Harry's trademark sarcastic wit. I loved it.
