This series is WRECKING me. omg like Jacks we KNOW you love Evangeline, just tell her 😭 honestly, such good writing, so many twists and turns

THE ENDING OMG. she DIED and he's SCREAMING. and "there's nothing of equal value to me." 😭😭😭 also Apollo can go die in a whole. he's the beefiest jerky ever to exist, I hate him. Jack's succeeded in saving her life, just for Apollo to ERASE HER MEMORIES?!?! shut up

“But Evangeline knew that her heart longed to hope for the best. She believed that people could change; she believed that everyone’s life was like a story with an ending that was not yet written, and therefore everyone’s future held infinite possibilities”. Honestly cannot think of a review to write. I enjoyed reading the book but did find myself mad at the ending. Even so, I am stuck with thoughts of wondering what the hell will happen so I must read the next book. I will say that I wished this was a dual point of view book. I would love to hear Jacks thoughts. It would add so much flare to the story.

I enjoyed this book better than the first! The story becomes more compelling and the magic/world feels is reminiscent of the enchantments of Harry Potter

Better than the first book. I now understand that the first one was setting the tone and this went on to the major dilemma. It was hard for me to start but after a few chapters it got good. (I read along with audiobook.)

SPOILER**

It seems as the 3rd book is how the author will get rid of Apollo. A bit sad for me because I was torn between Jacks and Apollo, but now it shifted.
