Short and enjoyable read that starts of as a romance but ends with lots of action-thriller vibes.

In the beginning all the people and names were pretty confusing and I needes some tinme to find out, what this story was about.

Jaynes Family provides sleigh rides to earn money for community funds. They need a new volunteer and that's how we meet Forrest. Tall, handsome and Jaynes Ex, the love of her life, who left her for Ghana.
To be fair, je didn't just leave. He signed with the peace corps before meeting her and she told him to go because she wanted to go back to her parents and reinvent their ranch. But then she made it impossible for him to contact her. And now she's accusing him of leaving and choosing community-work in Ghana over her.

I like Forrest but I didn't like Jayne very much because she was irrational and I didn't understand her. She's irritatingly repetitive about Ghana and if it wasn't for Forrest this would have turned into a two-star-story.

"He looks for you first whenever he comes in. And when he sees you, he relaxes and gets this peaceful look, like he's come home."

The end is great - after a plot twist that I didn't enjoy too much.
All in all - this one is well written and nice...
