A surprisingly complex story given its length. It was well written and I really enjoyed it. I hope the future books spend more time explaining the world and magic system.

I really liked this book, I think it could have been a bit longer, but there was no issues with the pacing - all the characters were very interesting, but the length of the book just makes it feel like the entire plot is spent just getting to know them and their backstory, and at the end there isn't a feeling of character growth or development.

Lovely cover.

Nice,well-plotted fantasy with elves, murder and a nice little bit of Elf/Elf/Elf action. :-p

I really liked this. I think it builds just enough world for the shortness of it and I liked the characters a lot. I did think Ianys was forgiven far too easily for the amount of hurt he was supposed to have caused and all of his excuses felt after-the-fact.
