I am so incredibly glad I could read Rachel’s story. It’s like the seriously extreme version of what my life might have been like. If I had stayed in the LDS church, it wouldn’t have been nearly so extreme but there are many uncomfortable parallels. The churches started out as one before splitting. I rolled my eyes so many times with understanding how people go along with something stupid because of how the church will see them otherwise. It’s awful, and I’m so glad people have the strength to pull themselves away from toxic lives.

I wasn’t really all that up to date on Warren Jeffs, but now that I am, I’m so damn mad. I hate that men like him can end up in a position of power and ruin countless lives. AND HIS OWN CHILDREN!

I definitely recommend this to everyone. If you can relate, you may not feel so alone. If you can’t, you might realise there are people actually living in cults and fear right now.
