Reviews with content warning for Suicide - The Seven Year Slip

Cute and lovely weekend or vaction read! The story was good and there is great character development. This doesn't get a higher rating from me because I'm just not a huge fan of magical realm and I didn't know this about the book before picking it up. I don't regret reading it and I would recommend!

...while Iwan was really hot, I definitely wasn’t about to break the time-space continuum to be with him. That wasn’t how this story went.

Funny, sweet, some nice twists of fate and some gentle magic. It relies a lot on "meant to be" - something of the natural development of their feelings/relationship was lost in the (sort of, almost, but not quite) non-chronological structure. Time travel is a different concept to portray and to be honest I wasn't always sold on the mechanics of it all - they either weren't written super clearly or I was too dumb to understand them. But you don't read this sort of book for precise time travel, so really no big deal.
All of the big feelings wrapped up in Clementine's aunt's death were somewhat difficult to read (see content warning) but I felt her emotional journey was probably the strongest part of the book, even more than her romance with Iwan.

I liked it so much that the only thing I can say is that it was PERFECT!!!!!!💛🧑🏻‍🍳🍋🕊️🌻🪄

Now it’s in the top 3 readings of the year, and It’s going to be one of my comfort books!!❤️
