Sensational fearmongering with a side of why on earth do you need to remind me that Nicholas is a "little man" every time he enters a scene. Count how many times the author writes "the little man said." I had never heard of this author when I came across a glowing review of this book and decided to give it a go because I really enjoy CIA/thriller novels. I miss John Clark and Domingo Chavez.

“Very few people will stand up and put themselves in harm’s way to protect those who cannot protect themselves.”

“Perfect moments had a way of getting shattered.”

Felt not fully realized

There seemed to be a lot of big ideas and devastation that could come of the villains but just as the heroes figure out what's going on they immediately solve the problem. It could be been much better and maybe something that carried on to further books.

This was not my favorite of the books in this series. Many parts were a bit heavy on the commentary, but the end was fast-paced and typical Brad Thor.

I can safely say that I only liked this book because I listened to it. What an action-packed, though unbelievable, adventure. At times I wondered if I was listening to an episode of 24. While it's not my cup of tea, it was certainly an interesting listen.

This is scary in light of the world these days. This book seems totally plausible. America got a wake up on 9/11 but it seems we may be falling asleep at the switch again. Hopefully those in the know are sharing info so this book doesn't happen.
