The end to another fantastic fantasy novel.

This entire series needs to be made into a TV show. This is basically the Amazing Race but Fae style. There is a mystery with the Brotherhood, Jacq's missing sister, a Prince that is presumed dead.

The Chess game in this final installment was a wild ride. And my ultimate dream for this novel was for Orin to see his family again, after 18 years. By the end of the book I was a puddle.

I don't want to say too much a spoil the novel, but it is a very entertaining ride. Claire makes it so that reading her books are so effortless. You get scooped up into the world she creates and this with her co-author J A Armitage; is a cast of characters that you are rooting for, that you love to hate and others you hope that karma gets them.

A very pleasant and happy conclusion to this novel. I would definitely be interested in more stories in this fae world.

I didn’t want it to end!

What a wonderful conclusion to a wonderful series. (At least I’m kinda pretty sure it’s the last book.) I’m glad they were able to keep the pace through all 3 books to the very end!

I cannot believe that I read 690 pages (total of the entire series) in a week. This series was fantastic.

This book was just exciting and thrilling and a lot more. I love Jacq and Orin and love that we got to see the familys. This one has to be the best of the series.

I love this series...

A kick but heroine, a sexy dark fairy male, mystery, intrigue, and even murder, what else could you ask for in a book. I read a great deal and often figure clues and such out before, but I was pleasantly surprised many times in this series. If you like action, love, and fairies then check these books out.

And now the story is over!!
What an epic adventure. Loved the twists and turns of the final trial. This all comes together with a Big Bang. What an ending!
Really good world building and very clever characterisation.
Writing was very easy to read. This is a must read series.

The third round of the Faerie Race is a live chess game through Elfame City, with their friends and family as the pieces. Despite all the protections reportedly put in place, Jacq's experience doesn't let her trust that anyone is going to be safe. While trying to stay one step ahead of their competition, Jacq and Orin have a second task, to ensure that they Brotherhood don't succeed in putting their own plans in place.
I really enjoyed these books. I read them so fast as I couldn't wait to find out what would happen next, but now I'm kind of sad that they're finished.

I was provided an advance copy via the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third and final installment of Faerie Race Trilogy. This is by far the most creative of the 3 trials. I really loved that Jacq and Orin had to figure out and play a very strategic game, while also trying to thwart the very real danger of the Brotherhood. I don’t want to give too much away as I really enjoyed the twists and turns of this final installment.

This picks up just after the second books ends with Cass still reeling from her friends death in the 2nd trial and the knowledge that her sister is very much alive. She and Orin meet up with Cass and learn that the Brotherhood is in fact up to no good and find out what they are really planning at the end of the race. Jacq and Orin decide to head back into the dangerous race in an attempt to stop the Brotherhood and save both the Faerie and Human realms. Our favorite race team must figure out the rules of the game and protect their pieces of the game board because as we learn the battle their pieces face is deadly. I really liked that all of the contestants from the previous trials returned as pieces and that some of the pieces were very personal to Jacq and Orin, that was a nice addition and very authentic element of reality TV shows.

I think this was my favorite of the three books. It was fast paced, action packed, the plot was really unique and creative, and I liked that the romance was there but not in your face. Both Orin and Jacq are faced with very tough decisions and we see them develop throughout the entire series. I thought this series wrapped up in nicely, leaving the reader feeling satisfied. There were some good twists and turns and I really wasn’t sure which way this was going to go until the very end. This was such a fun series and I recommend it for lovers of fantasy.
