A beautiful and wholesome story which gives a loving depiction of community coming together whilst providing an insight into the thoughts and emotions around losing your memories.

You can tell a lot of love and effort has gone into the writing of this novel to explore a POV from someone suffering with Alzheimer’s whilst also those around them in a delicate but touching manner.

It's clear once again why Santa is one of my favourite authors. She succeeded to make me bawl my eyes out, like really ugly crying!

The story is about a loving family; mother, father, two daughters and their grandmother living together (because life happens) in a small coastal town. Marigold (the mother) is the main character of this wonderful, yet heartbreaking tale of true love.
She's a devoted wife and mother and a loving member of the community, who's know to take care of everyone.

Life was good until the fog came and clouded everything she knew, or she thought she should know.

Growing old with someone is a luxury and in that aspect, Marigold was very rich. With her soulmate by her side she knows she can tackle even the cloudiest of days, until she no longer recognizes him and his heart, along with ours, breaks.

Such a moving story about family and the community coming together to support a loved one going through one of the most horrible things ever. So lovely but so sad

I didnt like the start of this book, and halfway through I wondered which direction it would take. Having not read the blurb I suspected it would either become a who-dunnit type read, or simply be about dementia and I would cry at the end. I successfully predicted my tears in the final chapter.
I ended up enjoying this story.

A warm hearted book where God is in his heaven and love conquers all. I found it quite slow going in the first part but the second part was better and the description of a gradual slide into Dementia was handled well if too rosily.

Very different than what I'm used from this author. This was heartbreaking.
