3ish stars for me … interesting and definitely mind boggling but I think unrealistic happy endings ruin sci-fi books for me.
Premise of this book is that there are infinite ways we can live our lives and maybe the grass isn’t greener on the other side. Definitely a clever way to explore self fragmentation and the pains of wanting to be a parent, while also chasing your dreams …. I think it’s interesting the author used sex as a way to prove his MC’s identity rather than an emotional connection he may share with his wife.
I feel like our MC was a bit selfish and there are some characters I wish we got to know more about, like Amanda. His extreme desire to get back to his family sort of made everyone else dispensable and i don’t think that’s noble lol.
In general - the author has a pretty way of writing introspection but I don’t know if I’d read another book by him.

Phenomenal. One of the best things I've read all year. Mind blowing science combined with a story that really got to me.

Definitely a gripping story. Was the science all that plausible? No. Does it matter? Not really. Was it predictable in places? Yes. Did it surprise me when it counted? Yes. Did I wish for actual closure with a character that just up and disappeared? Definitely. Did I keep hoping that said character would be back? Yes. Did I actually expect the character to return? No.

Mildly science-y, a touch psychological, driven by romance, and a smattering of horror. Enjoyable read, cool concepts, intriguing ending.

Ehh... I considered DNFing this book at some point but decided to power through. It was a bit cliché, I anticipated everything before it happened, so it wasn't even intriguing. I found the main character so boring at times, and the writing style was just so unbelievably cheesy! It was almost on the same level as 'The Midnight Library' for me, but at least this author knew his physics.

Well done multiverse sci-fi! Interesting premise and good execution, just when I thought he was getting to the end a little too soon with too much book left, a "twist" was introduced that made me gasp out loud. Would make a great movie or mini-series.
