The writing is marvelous, and the way Ovid depicts emotions is incredibly enjoyable to read. Also, incredible work on the translator(s) part! The only thing I would recommend for anyone looking to read this book is to do a quick Google search on the major Roman gods (gods of Olympus) for some slight background knowledge.

The translator uses too much inversion, Old English (Ovid was Roman+Greek), rhyme (which Ovid mocked), and meter that isn't Ovid's.

Took me a while to get through and some parts, particularly about war and war heroes bored me a little but was in general very interesting.
