This was good. I’ve not really read anything like it. I feel like some pieces were a bit choppy and we were left hanging with some things.
I liked the story, and how it played out. I’m very interested in reading the rest of the series.

DNF @ 67% the sex without discussion of protection in any form is what pushed me over the edge. That is so irresponsible as an author.
There is no plot, so you’d think it’d be made up for by a character heavy story…but Quinn acts like a child and essentially strings Ransom along for 50% of the book.
Literally every single man outside of the main 4 or 5 is a piece of shit that wants to have sex with Quinn and just pretty much approaches her propositioning it. In my opinion that is not how you should show bullying because of leaked sex tapes, it’s completely inaccurate.
There’s a nice female best friend at the start who within like 2 chapters gets written as a complete bitch and is barely mentioned again. It was so unnecessary- why do we not want this girl to have more than one female friend???
So disappointed after hearing such good things about this.

There was an entire gambit of emotions while reading this. Outrage. Fury. Sorrow. Pain. Trust. Reluctance. Love. Adrenaline. All of it.
Don’t sleep on this book (or the series) because it was absolute perfection.
Ransom and Quinn are incredible, and they became even better once they got together.

I thoroughly enjoyed the found family aspect of this book, the friendships and relationship aspects were done incredibly well. The plot twist towards the end caught me off guard as I wasn't expecting it, which I loved. The only reason I didn't give it a full 4 stars was due to how the MFL had this constant thought of 'I want to be with him, but I can't cause he has a bad reputation, but I like him so who cares' throughout the beginning of the book, which did annoy me. Yet once she got past that idea, it was an enjoyable read and I can't wait to pick up the next book in the series.
I received a free copy from Voracious readers and am leaving a voluntary, honest review.

i truly cringed every time he called her kitten but other than that i really enjoyed the book.
honestly i only read this because i saw the authors promotion for the 3rd book in this series and wanted to read that, but reading a series out of order (even when its interconnected standalones) feels sacrilegious to me. glad i did tho!!! really loved the found family :))
