I could appreciate A House for Mr. Biswas as an exceptional literary work if it weren't so misogynistic. It deserves more stars but I just couldn't get there—even with generous allowances for time/place/culture/context.
Moderate: Sexism
Minor: Bullying, Physical abuse, Racial slurs, Toxic relationship, and Violence
