Graphic: Racism and Racial slurs
kylelorey's review against another edition
I read it in 2018 and intend to re-read it again later; however, I will restart from the beginning. The book is very good, don't get me wrong, but I've bigger fish to fry at the moment.
Graphic: Racism
Oh, man is H.P. Lovecraft racist. He simply can't get enough racism, he's nuts for it. Sure, he's the father of Weird fiction, but no bones about it - it's hard to be more racist than this man. And that shit canNOT be separated from his art - half the time, the unnameable evil in his stories is either an allegory for or LITERAL racism. The dude even finds a way to be racist to groups I didn't even know it was possible to be racist against. I'm telling you, he has it down to a science. I mean, you probably know all this, it ain't exactly a secret that H.P. Lovecraft went apoplectic at the sight of a non-WASP. But felt worth mentioning anyway.
