Two Words - HOLY CRAP!

This is exactly what I've been waiting for in this series, each and every chapter was filled to the brim with shock, romance, revelations and so much more. Without including spoilers, I'm absolutely loving the change in dynamic between Nick and all other characters.... Even Liam.

The change in Evie is welcome, she's found her power and has become a strong female lead which is always great in a book. I'm glad she's stopped second guessing herself and trusts her strength.

I've even started to love Roz, she's rising to be one of my favourite characters. She's strong, defiant, relatable and just amazing. The way she steps up and her dynamic with Nick is amazing.

In previous books, my complaints were that the ending was rushed, this one was not, the final climax was throughout the entire book and I'm shook and heartbroken and filled with joy all in one... I'm left reeling and I don't know how I can wait until May for the next installment.

The writing as a whole is stepped up to a whole other level, I was completely immersed and I couldn't put it down... I have not read a book that I physically couldn't put down in years.

I can't find one fault in this book and I'm so excited to see what the next installment is going to bring. If I could rate it more stars I would.

My ratings for these books are going down with each installment. The relationships are the main reason. I have no interest in Nick and Roz. Liam and Evie are becoming more and more boring with each book. This book basically starts out with a disclaimer to that effect, where Evie says that they don't have to rush anything because they have forever together. Umm...hello? You guys are constantly worried for your lives! The last thing you should do is bank on forever and take the relationship you have for granted! They have chaste kisses and jokes about their past sex life, nothing else.

This book started out having skipped some time from where the last book ended, which was odd considering the author needed a bunch of exposition to cover everything that had happened in the meantime.

One thing I will say I am impressed with in this book is that the characters are more complex than usual. Most of them make big mistakes, but there's always an understandable reason why they made that choice. There's still a few flat characters that seem to be evil just for evil's sake, but so far the drama has been largely caused by the good guys trying to do the right thing and failing.

Oh my heart lol

I can't wait until May for part 4 man!! Lol but part 3 was amazing. I always have this problem of finding it harder to stay interested in the books in a series after part one or 2 but every book I read makes it more intense and captivating than the last. I will read much more from this author!

This is the third book in the series and must be read in order.

I don’t know how Ms. Jonas does it, but each book in this series just keeps getting better and better. I am so in love with the relationship between Evie and Liam, I love how fiercely they love each and their loyalty and honor to not only each other but to themselves is admirable. Ms. Jonas packs this book full of intrigue, romance, suspense and oh so many secrets! We find Evie has finally grown into herself and her powers. Each time Evie thinks she has things figured out, she is thrown a curveball, yet she takes each ball thrown at her and owns it. She is what all heroines should be modeled after. This book is by far the most emotional and tragic thus far. I was in shock at that ending. This book will leave you panting for more.

A love story full of tragedy, heart break, a deep, feel-it-in-your-bones, lasts through the ages, die for you kind of love. The kind that you can only dream about. Evie has fallen head over heels for Liam. She has made her choice. And it's not just because she knows deep in her soul that they've had lifetimes of memories, or that they are destined, or that they're tethered. She's chosen him again, and she'd continue to do so. Nick can't control the darkness taking over him, and with his only ally left, he leaves the compound. Liam is determined to do what it takes to protect her, even if it costs him his life. And Evie has discovered that there are allies in place she didn't know about, as well as enemies she was unaware of. A whole world she has been a part of since the dawn of time, and just can't remember. I'm not going to say too much, because I don't want to give spoilers. You won't be disappointed by this book.

I don't know if I can express how I feel right now. All of the emotions and adrenaline are still coursing though me and I need the next book right now! Rachel does such a fantastic job with these characters and their struggles with themselves and their emotions. They are raw and flawed and have to struggle to find the strength in themselves and it just so great to read. Nick is even making a comeback from my most disliked character. I can't wait until May for the next one I need to know what happens right now.
