The last chapter! I was literally crying of joy and sadness at the same time. I'm so so happy that I received it as a gift for my birthday. This book was totally worth it! ❤️ The character of Edmond Dantés is one of the best ever written in literature ❤️

This was a decent read. It was a fairly easy read as well. It took me quite awhile to read just because I didn't dedicate the time. But I was happy to discover that I liked it after suffering through the travisty that was "Man in the Iron Mask". The story was good, but I have to say, this is one instance when I prefer the movie. The Guy Pierce movie has much more interesting twists in plot. The book was about 200 pages too long and seemed to drag on just for the sake of writing a long book.
