This book was a bit more disturbing than the previous ones. Emma was in over her head and like usual, she wasn't going to listen to the sound advice of those around her. Emma doesn't always know best! I admit to not liking the choices she made but will continue reading this series to see how these choices pan out.

Of the three Granny Apples mysteries, this was my favorite. These are fun, light reading with some history thrown in.

I just love this series and this book might be the best one yet. I loved the story about the 'haunted' diamond and the plot was really well crafted. The characters continue to be very three dimensional and well written (and the book was very well edited too - a rarity lately!). I think the author just does an excellent job overall and even though it seems she's going to start playing around with some relationships, something I don't really care for, I'm still looking forward to the next book.
