Amelia Grey's books are always so cute and this one did not disappoint.

This book is the last in the Rogue series. The 3 first are loosely connected to these, and the 3 last about three brothers. Now it's Matson's turn. A rich young gentleman who comes to London and scandal breaks. He looks like someone else, ohhh his mum had an affair. To makes things more complicated he falls for a young woman, who is the ward of his "father." Should we make it even more complicated? Yes why not. The lady in question, Sophia promised dear old dad to marry a man with a title. Alas poor Matson does not have one.

And this book is then about Sophia looking for a match, accompanied by her 2 aunts. And Matson finding every opportunity to be near her. Because you know they are gonna make it somehow, but the road there is long.

I did wonder one thing at the end, what about Lord Snellingly? Lol, you who have read it will understand.

A sweet romance.

"His masculine feelings had never felt so alive, so in command." What? Just an example of the terrible love scenes. They made me laugh aloud in sheer disbelief at the ridiculousness. How do these people get published? Has the editorial world simply abandoned all standards?

I could not make myself finish it - time is a precious commodity and I refuse to waste it.

A very pleasing novel featuring Sophia, on the market for a titled husband. Instead she finds Matson, untitled and holding a grudge against Sophia's guardian. There are plenty of difficulties for these characters to sort out as they become more and more emotionally invested in each other. This is a novel packed full of parties, suitors and the extravagances of the Ton.

I received this from a friend who won it off GoodReads First Look

This was a fun, silly read. It was a quick read, so a good one for the beach.

Sophia is new to England, she's come from America to honor a deathbed promise to her father- to wed a title. There's just one problem. The only man she's attracted to is her guardian's bastard son Matson Brentwood. And Matson doesn't have a title.

While I enjoyed reading this I wasn't too keen on several elements that I felt distracted from the story. The twin bit- how her "Aunties" were twins and then the man she falls in love with is a twin. OK, Got it. You don't have to keep telling us. It was repeated too much IMO. Then her obsession with marrying a title, doesn't matter who. Superficial in the extreme, so I found I couldn't LIKE Sophia too much. It didn't matter if the gentleman was nice, fat, a jerk, beat his dogs, or ate raw squid. As long as he had a title. If she had been more focused on character in addition to the title I could have found her more likeable.
