I wish this would’ve been a longer book. But I guess since all the action takes place in one day, it kind of makes sense that this storyline was used for a novella. I just think everything was too rushed though, especially the romance. I think most people will really enjoy this book, but for me there was something missing.

Assisting Aimee and Tony is a Fantastic Read

Everyday we hear on the news that there has been another active shooter incident, but it's the quiet heroes who talk the shooter down or make sure that all hostages are safe.

Aimee is a physical education teacher who has a huge crush on Tony a first grade teacher. When they finally do reach out to each other it's when a young man decides to take the adults and students hostage. Both teachers get the kids to quietly hide in the lockers, keeping them safe while trying to talk the shooter down.

Jones is a former Delta ops soldier and a new ops employee with Omega team. Between Aimee, Tony, and Jones they are able to defuse the situation without loss of life.

Hopefully, we'll have a longer story that will explore the new love between Tony and Aimee in the future.

Aimee and Tony are teachers together at an elementary school who are on the verge of embarking on a relationship when they are threatened by a shooter.

This was a quick read without nothing much to adore or complain about. I liked the connection between Aimee and Tony and appreciated that the author didn't kill off any characters for quick emotion. However I didn't love the somewhat misogynistic way that another teacher who was interested in Tony was discussed- it gave Aimee a touch of 'not like the other girls'.

Loved it!

A great quick read! Tough story line but happens way to often to be ignored. Very well written and handled and love seeing he other characters show back up in other stories since you feel you know them.

PE teacher Aimee and first grade teacher Tony battle through a high school shooting together.

I found this just a bit boring. The teacher setting didn’t really excite me. Tony, just by virtue of his name, felt a bit standard. I can’t get i to a guy with a Frozen tie and lunchbox, sorry. It presses no buttons.

This one was not for me.

Always enjoyable characters and good stories. This was another one, taking me back to events I read a long time ago when I started this series.
