It was ok. Felt too long in parts. Some of the plot was implausible and the character development felt rushed Daniel was two dimensional his life gets ruined, he’s tortured and then has to go the run and he’s just like totally accepting and nice about it all. Preferred the dogs to the human characters

I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought. The characters were fun. But I was annoyed with the amount of detail. It dragged on. It’s supposed to be an suspenseful action book but I got bogged down with the preparation she took instead of the actual scenes.
Also, I’m not a fan of instalove and I don’t believe he would legit not question her reasons or what attracted him to her if what she did really happened. He forgave immediately…like a weird Stockholm Syndrome.

Really a 3.5. Pretty good...mostly fast paced. Must suspend disbelief, but enjoyable escapism.

Firstly, I am in no way comparing this book to anything else that Meyer has written... ie: Twilight. That would be completely unfair. This is obviously not Twilight and nor should it be.

That said, I only just liked this book. I felt that it was about 200 pages too many. It took me a long time to really get in to the story, as in several times of putting down and picking it back up. I felt the characters were okay - not great - but okay. I didn't like the romance side of it... it came across a little juvenile for grown adults. It was also amidst a really crazy situation - which the protagonist mentions as well.

Meyer did do a nice job of describing everything in great detail which I truly appreciated - for instance, the extent of the characters deception when tracking and the necessities needed when on the run.

Overall, it was okay. My favorite part of the whole book was the introduction of the dog farm - until it was up in flames. I'm not sure how believable this is even considering its content. I just didn't really believe it all could be possible.

Fast-paced and held my interest. The only part that really ticked me off was when she not only STOLE BOOKS FROM THE LIBRARY but DESCRIBED HOW TO DO IT. Augh!!

Not what I expected, and a great surprise.
