The middle of this was infuriating to get through. I hated the suitors storyline and found it drawn out far more than it should have been. I rolled my eyes at the characters way too often. And the twist at the end didn't land in any real way. It lacked substance. The characters that felt powerful in the first book didn't here. I was looking forward to this so much and maybe I just read it at a bad time but I didn't end up enjoying it 90% of the read.

I really enjoy this story, and I think it's very well written. I thought the pace was better than the first one.
