It's been years since I last read a Grisham book, but after reading this one I'll definitely be looking for more. The leadup to the trial was frustratingly long at times, but it also felt realistic so I can forgive it for that. Compelling characters with strong convictions but sometimes questionable methods made this a very enjoyable read.

John Grisham is a masterful story teller. This story is tragic, compelling and hard to put down. Similar to the other books in this series that I read years ago.

Some points are laboured in this book, Grisham could reduce the amount of times he tells his readers certain things. Found this slightly boring. Also, the book is set in 1990 so felt a bit dated but still quite an easy, entertaining and intriguing read.
