This one didn't feel as strong as [b:The Scent of Metal|17665340|The Scent of Metal|Sabrina Chase|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1364507781s/17665340.jpg|24658571], but I overall enjoyed it. Things start a little slow with the voyage and prep for Beredul, but once they get on planet, things pick up. We also get some more info on the fadol; just enough to supply more questions than answers, and I'm very interested to see how that plays out. The epilogue is a great bumper (if this were a movie, it would be the after-credits scene). Looking forward to book 3.
