This was... okay. I don't feel like it added much except for showing how much WICKED is able to manipulate everything and showing more of the effects of the Flare. There wasn't much characterization at all, and the love triangle with Brenda and Teresa didn't feel necessary or well executed. It wasn't a waste of time or anything, but it didn't expand on the world or characters much and didn't answer many questions.

Great second book, but yes, I think the ending is going to be predictable. We'll see...
It got a TINY bit repetitive, and the number of times I've heard "I'm going to explain this to you, and NO QUESTIONS till I'm done," has been a lot of times.

Left you with more questions than it answered. Still an interesting story, and I'll read the 3rd when it comes out, however, not one of my favorites.

This is a book for teenage boys so its literary merit is dubious. But I don't care. The story is awesome.
