How do I begin to describe how much I loved this book? My reviewer loved, raved and ranted about this book and bought me a copy to read. Jack is a broody and broken widower. He is an retired Army Vet who is suffering from PTSD. Margot is a bubbly and outgoing city girl. Like the old saying goes opposites attract. I loved the whole build of this couple, it was well paced and I loved feeling the connection between the two. Jack was so torn with his feelings over Margot. He was conflicted moving on since it's been 3 years since his wife died and he blames himself. When you find out the reason why he blames himself your heart just breaks all over for him. Several times I wanted to reach into my Kindle, hug him and tell him that everything will be ok! Then other times I wanted to shake him and tell him to get it together!!! Margot was a pretty good heroine in my book! She held her ground, knew when to push and knew when to walk away. I've never read anything by this author and she sucked me in with her storytelling. I felt all the feels while I was reading this story. She had me laughing, smiling and even shedding some tears! This was such a well written story about stepping outside the box and taking chances no matter how scared you are or how scary it can be. Life is too short and you need to seize the moment. I really loved this story and a book hangover is in full effect!! Well done Melanie Harlow!!

“I’m not looking for my first love. I’m looking for my last.”

I love the progression of Jack opening up to Margot and the communication, acceptance, and freedom that developed between them. Sometimes brooding, tortured, alpha males books can be light on those and heavy on steaminess. Melanie Harlow brought the feels and the steam. 🔥🔥Whoaly hotness. 🔥🔥 This one had it all.

And I now want to live on a farm and find my own farmer who is just like Jack Valentini!

This book has it all!  The feels I got from the moment city girl Margot had me when she had her downfall and escaped to her PR job away from it all into the big wide open of being in one with nature.

As soon as the meeting of Jack & Margot, I knew I was done for.

I loved how this story is learning about oneself, fighting demons from present and past, learning to open up again, and then of course some hot and steamy times that will leave you breathless.

My cherries hatched something fierce for Jack & Margot.  Especially for Jack.  He is one Book boyfriend I would do a days worth of farm duties to be with.

An emotional beautifully written book that I Highly recommend to read!
