The book isn't what I expected at all. I thought it would focus in Tiffany's and be all about the glitz and glamour days of the 1950s. But it was a story about Holly and her escapades. She's quite flighty and I don't think you could ever really know the real Holly. I liked how it ended though, it was kind of sweet but unfortunately, I'm not a fan.

Holly isn't likable but not sure she's meant to be; she is believable though. Found it hard to get through. Switching of tenses from the unknown narrator is a nice and easy-to-follow touch. Nice to read in 1 sitting but I can't say I'll be returning to this, and I don't feel encouraged to read any of Captote's other work. Also, I feel sad that the cat never got a name.
