I'm a masochist because I read this sequel and it was worse than the first one.
There's high school drama and then there's this. Everything was ridiculous. The male character was horrible and I have still no idea why the female character wanted to put him in jail for the rest of his life because she still slept with him and giving him a million chances to be a better person when all he did was verbally abusing her. So yeah.

I am loving this series. I love the bad boy and the good girl who fights for him. I loved how all of their stories intertwine. I can’t wait to read the next one!

Holy cliff hanger...

I’m grateful these books all roll together bc I’m careening through them binge hour after hour... so dark yet sweet it’s odd and refreshing and spellbinding

So much explained! The first book, Fear Me, left me full of questions and all the juicy details unfold in Fear You. Once the light bulb clicked on for me in this book it got so good!

Kieran is back and broody as ever. I'll admit I got a bit annoyed at him again for being able to just turn himself off from Lake however when things are explained I get it. Lake definitely stepped up a bit more here in this book and I liked that she demanded what she wanted more. I can't believe how it all unfolded at the end and amazed at the strength of these two young people, especially Kieran, to have gone through so much. I am looking forward to reading more in the series and getting all the details on the rest of this bunch. They all had such big roles in these first two books I'm sure their stories will be amazing!

I’m addicted beyond words to this series and I cannot get enough!

Lake is no longer the victim and very much a force to reckon with. She and Kieran have a struggle for power over each other and it’s a whole different level of angst and “anti-bullying”. They both frustrated me to no end but there’s so much of the plot unfolding and oh the shockers!!

“I bared myself. Let me become vulnerable for her. Only for her. Always for her.”

The dual POV really worked and seeing Kieran’s view point really opened up this book and I really felt for him, the brokenness of his early years and everything surrounding the fateful day he and Lake first met.

Fear You is not short of shockers and heart gripping soul crushing moments. I can really appreciate why everyone shouts out how addictive this series is.

I don’t really know what I was expecting from this book, really. Some parts of it were good. The child slavery assassin thing is still wildly unbelievable though and a huge portion of the book hinged on that being why Kieran was so fucked up.

Just like in the first book all through Kieran mentions killing her so casually and she’s just weirdly blasé about it. In this book she wholeheartedly believes he’s responsible for the murders of two missing students despite only having circumstantial evidence. She’s trying to get him locked up the whole book.

Kieran was in no way redeemed from anything he’s done to her so it’s not like he didn’t deserve it but the exhausting push and pull between them gave me whiplash. I’m glad they got their HEA but I don’t think I’ll read beyond here. Keenan is a unrepentant cheater so I don’t want to see that.
