An interesting collection of poems, some of which I really liked, while others fell flat.
A couple of the poems in this collection felt very juvenile, as something a teenager would write (for instance the eponymous poem The Book of Mirrors). Luckily, a couple of other poems were a lot better and a lot more interesting. Personally, I found the poems about her parents often the most interesting, even though I kind of feel bad about that because of course she is more than just her parents. Yet I especially liked a couple of poems that interacted with her parents' poems which created very interesting poetry.
