A cute book for those just starting out with young adult lit.

This was a very sweet story, and the dialog between the main character and her mother was hilarious. I also loved how central animals were to the story, especially my favorite--pigs! Here's a great line from the book: "Animals were just as important as people, even if most people didn't think so."
