Hilarious, exquisitely explained and gloriously witty and fascinating is the world of How To. Munro is a master at creating a scientific world grounded in reality that somehow feels even more whimsical, fanciful and inspiring than almost any fantasy book. The book is amazing regardless of if you love science avidly, or are intimidated by other non-fiction in the fear you don’t understand. An easy addition to at the very least my top three favourite books and the perfect gift for any science lover or geek in your life.

This book has interesting and thought provoking scenarios and honestly lead to some pretty cool facts being put in my Arsenal for future conversations but I must say that it was not as interesting/good as what if? By the same author and definitely not as funny.

For xkcd fans, or people who like math or science. Plenty of equations that you can either read or skim over.

"How to Throw Things" was my favourite chapter - we were crying because we were laughing so hard.

I'm not a diehard XKCD reader or anything, but it's a clever and fun comic strip so I was hoping for the same here. And that's kind of what this is, but it didn't really work for me for some reason. There are some fun bits, but a lot of it is just a bit too drawn out or one note for me.

I might have done myself a disservice listening to this via audiobook though, I believe the printed version includes a lot of comics and other illustrations.
