I remember this is one of the first books I ever read that made me cry. This is a universal tale of hardship, survival, adventure... It has its own mythology! And it's about rabbits! I'm not sure what I can say about this book; it's one of my favorites of all time. If you like talking animals you should read Watership Down.

This book has fables, adventure, and war all rolled into one. The whole book feels like a retelling of a great story, which it is. Highly recommend!

Une histoire pas désagréable de lapins fondant une nouvelle garenne, le livre suit leurs aventures. Cependant j’ai trouvé cela vraiment trop long. Également assez déçue que l’auteur insiste sur le fait que ce n’est qu’une histoire de lapins, cela m’a empêchée de trouver de l’intérêt à ce texte potentiellement rempli de sous-textes politiques justement. Dommage.

It felt like Lord of the Rings but with rabbits. Not really my kind of book, but I can see why others enjoy it.

I'd like to rate this somewhere between "it was OK" and "i liked it." The last 150 pages or so were so exciting! But the lead-up was awfully slow. Still, I cared about these rabbits (erm, hlessil) and am glad I've now read it.

Not as brutal as the talk around it would have had me believe. I loved the writing style and wish I had read this when I was the target audience age because I know it would have been a childhood favourite.
