This is a reread for me but I read it in school and can just remember the basic of it so when I got a the clothbound classic series from Penguin, I decided to give it another go, and I still find it a interesting story. It is about a London lawyer named John Gabriel Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde.

We discover the shocking truth of it all, while this is work of fiction this has been studied to where it is now part of psychology and even have a reference to where its used today saying its a case of Jekyll and Hyde referring to where one side of the suspect is well respected and of importance but there is another side where they are a beast, with violence and cruel intentions. A famous case where this was used was Jack the Ripper.

Alongside Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, there was also a collections of other smaller stories which were used in helping to write Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde which I also enjoyed. I do enjoy a classic and find it intersting how books that were written over 100 years ago are still loved.
